O Produtor, tasting note published in November 25th 2021

Yellow-gold color with slightly golden silver reflections. On the nose, a mature aromatic palette of yellow and slightly exotic fruits, with notes of almonds. Touches of eucalyptus and coriander bring freshness. On the palate, the wine is round, silky, with good balance and a light refreshing support. A finish with more pronounced bitterness.

Aegerter

The white wine Pouilly-Fuissé is a great classic; an indispensable Burgundy wine that reflects its terroir, and in which the village and premier cru village designations of this range are revealed. Their authenticity and character are renewed harvest after harvest thanks to the respect for the ancestral Burgundian savoir-faire.

Soil: Clay-limestone with loose pebbles.
Appellation: Located between the Roche de Vergisson and the Roche de Solutré, Pouilly-Fuissé is a village appellation in the Mâconnais vineyard, producing exclusively white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety.

Winemaking: Grapes are hand-picked and sorted, then pressed and placed in demi-muids for vinification. Aging is done in demi-muids of 2 wines without new barrels. Constant batonnage takes place to put the lees back into suspension.

A wine that pairs wonderfully with fresh salmon or grilled lobster, both with aromatic herbs, pike or perch cooked on one side with crispy skin and drizzled with crayfish broth to enhance the aromatic complexity of this wine. Or with frog legs and parsley, white meats and goat cheese.

Jaen-Luc & Paul Aegerter

Aegerter, father and son, did not inherit a property; they built it together, each bringing their knowledge and dreams.

United by the same passion for nature in general and vines in particular, Jaen-Luc, the trailblazer, and Paul, the visionary, chose this profession. They embarked on a shared journey, developed their knowledge, and refined their ideas. Paul, now alone at the helm of the family business, continues this adventure and starts a new chapter, that of growth.

The Aegerter property spans 14 hectares and is located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte-d’Or, a region known for both its traditions and innovations.

At Aegerter, nature is not coerced; it is listened to and nurtured. The wines, from the most accessible to the most exceptional, all share the fact of being the result of a decidedly modern vision and dynamic. The best of Burgundy’s terroirs deserves this: wines crafted with passion, bold enough to step out of the ordinary and offer consumers, beginners and experts alike, refined selections, new combinations, and unique bottles.

Aegerter is a house whose hallmark is creativity. This characteristic, passed down through generations, is the Aergerter DNA. The values that guide them are:

Respect for the vine and its environment through rigorous interventions.
Boldness to assert oneself in the elitist Burgundian scene while maintaining our attitude!
Balance and finesse of our wines, reflecting our Burgundian climate.
Love for traditions and an attraction to innovation blend in our wines, transporting us to Burgundy.
