O Produtor, tasting note published in November 16th 2022

In 2022, we started the harvest at the end of February, so the expression of each grape variety and their contribution to this batch are unique. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and elegance with red fruits, while the Carmenère gives the wine body, notes of spices and black fruits. Meanwhile, Syrah brings floral notes and blue undertones and Cabernet Franc completes the blend with its fine minerality and pronounced acidity. The Piu Belle Rosé reveals the character of our Barroir, barrels toasted with millennial oak from the Millahue Valley, which give the wine yellow and white tones. On the palate, notes of peach, apricot, passion fruit and mango. And on the nose, white roses add the final touch to this dewy experience.

Vik Wines

VIK was created in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley. This is a vineyard that embodies the perfect fusion of man, experience, land, climate and high technology.

THE PERFECT TERROIR
The VIK vineyard was born at the foot of the Andes Mountains, within the Millahue Valley, called “Lugar de Oro” or “Golden Place” by the native Mapuche people: 4,300 hectares of astonishing Chilean nature where more than 327 hectares of vines have been planted.

VIK’s terroir offers a majestic and natural landscape made up of 12 valleys, each with its own microclimate, distinct exposures, all within a wind tunnel cooled by coastal breezes from the Pacific and winds from high in the Andes that give VIK enormous complexity and exceptional variety.

OENOLOGIST
Head winemaker Cristian Vallejo oversees VIK’s viticulture and winemaking, ensuring that grapes are hand-picked and fermentation occurs naturally, without the addition of yeasts.

The wines are aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
