O Produtor, tasting note published in April 10th 2014

Quinta da Falorca Touriga Nacional2012 was made from 30 clones of Touriga Nacionalvariety from three different vineyards to give complexity to the wine. With 18 months of ageing in barrels, it is a fresh red wine with an intense nose where ripe red fruit, floral and smoky notes stand out. It is a very gastronomic wine.

Quinta da Falorca

Founded by the Costa Barros de Figueiredo family more than 5 generations ago, the estate now comprises 4 vineyards with a production area of 13 ha – Vale de Escadinhas, Barreiro, Esmoitada and Falorca – in the sub-region of Silgueiros. With vineyards occupying about 13 ha of the farm and located on the slopes of the Dão River, facing south and therefore with full sun exposure, Quinta Vale das Escadinhas has all the characteristics of the Demarcated Region, and it is here that the production of some of the best wines in the Dão is concentrated, with several awards won over the years.
