O Produtor, tasting note published in May 5th 2021

Imagine wise words passing before your eyes, like a transcendent and immortal book. Behind you, the hills are green, filled with trees brimming with authentic terroir. The vineyards embrace every open space, sustained by the cool wind blowing from the Pacific. The sun shines, reflecting colors, hope, and happiness! This is what happens when a wine reflects its terroir in the purest way: this is Milla Cala. The Cabernet Sauvignon seduces with a firm yet patient structure. The Cabernet Franc offers minerality, elegance, and exquisite succulence. The Carménère will fill your senses with black fruits, offering infinite volume. Milla Cala 2019 dances uninhibited on the palate, with spices, an unstoppable vibrancy, and balanced acidity. The Merlot contributes finesse, while the Syrah brings violet and lavender notes that complement the elegant aromas of the French barrels from our Sustainable Project, where the wine rests for 20 months.

Vik Wines

VIK was created in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley. This is a vineyard that embodies the perfect fusion of man, experience, land, climate and high technology.

THE PERFECT TERROIR
The VIK vineyard was born at the foot of the Andes Mountains, within the Millahue Valley, called “Lugar de Oro” or “Golden Place” by the native Mapuche people: 4,300 hectares of astonishing Chilean nature where more than 327 hectares of vines have been planted.

VIK’s terroir offers a majestic and natural landscape made up of 12 valleys, each with its own microclimate, distinct exposures, all within a wind tunnel cooled by coastal breezes from the Pacific and winds from high in the Andes that give VIK enormous complexity and exceptional variety.

OENOLOGIST
Head winemaker Cristian Vallejo oversees VIK’s viticulture and winemaking, ensuring that grapes are hand-picked and fermentation occurs naturally, without the addition of yeasts.

The wines are aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
