O Produtor, tasting note published in May 5th 2021

Imagine wise words passing before your eyes a transcendent and immortal book. Behind you the hills they are verdant with trees full of authentic land. The vines hug every open space and are supported by the cool wind blowing in from the Pacific. The sun shines reflecting colors, hope and happiness! This is what happens when a wine reflects its terroir in the purest way: it is Milla Cala. The Cabernet Sauvignon seduces with a firm but patient structure. structure. Cabernet Franc offers minerality, elegance and exquisite succulence. Carménère will fill your senses with dark fruits, offering infinite volume. Milla Cala 2019 dances unrestrained on the palate, with spice, unstoppable liveliness and balanced acidity. The Merlot helps with finesse, while the Syrah offers hints of violet and lavender that complement the elegant aromas and French barrels of our Barroir Durable Barroir Sustainable Project, which houses the wine for 20 months.

Vik Wines

VIK was created in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley. This is a vineyard that embodies the perfect fusion of man, experience, land, climate and high technology.

THE PERFECT TERROIR
The VIK vineyard was born at the foot of the Andes Mountains, within the Millahue Valley, called “Lugar de Oro” or “Golden Place” by the native Mapuche people: 4,300 hectares of astonishing Chilean nature where more than 327 hectares of vines have been planted.

VIK’s terroir offers a majestic and natural landscape made up of 12 valleys, each with its own microclimate, distinct exposures, all within a wind tunnel cooled by coastal breezes from the Pacific and winds from high in the Andes that give VIK enormous complexity and exceptional variety.

OENOLOGIST
Head winemaker Cristian Vallejo oversees VIK’s viticulture and winemaking, ensuring that grapes are hand-picked and fermentation occurs naturally, without the addition of yeasts.

The wines are aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
