A ruby coloured wine with notes of ripe black fruit on the nose, developing into notes of smoke, spice and cocoa. A voluminous palate with well-defined tannins and good acidity, suggesting good potential for ageing in bottle.
TERROIR
The Bairrada region has a Mediterranean/Atlantic climate, influenced by Atlantic sea breeze, and protected by mountain ranges of Caramulo and Buçaco, which means hot days and cool nights in the summer. The vines grow exposed to the sun and are planted in soft hills of clayey-limestone soils.
