O Produtor, tasting note published in May 13th 2025

GURI is a wine that celebrates the irreverence and freshness of youth.
Made from Loureiro and Alvarinho grape varieties, it results from a carefully managed vinification process, with cold-stopped fermentation to preserve the freshness and delicate natural sweetness of the must. With only 8.5% alcohol, it surprises with its balance between vibrant sweetness and persistent acidity, delivering a light, harmonious, and refreshing tasting experience.

Guri

Region: IG Minho

Climate:
Moderately maritime climate. The vineyards are located near the sea, enjoying mild winters and hot, dry summers. The sea breeze brings freshness, salinity, and moderate thermal amplitude during ripening, enhancing the aromatic expression of the grapes.

Granite-based soil with above-average clay content, fertile and distinctive. This unique combination adds structure and complexity to the wine, softening the acidity profile of the grapes.

Grape Profile:

Loureiro: Provides aromatic intensity and delicate floral notes.

Alvarinho: Contributes structure and depth on the palate.

Thanks to its high acidity and balanced sweetness, GURI pairs beautifully with spicy or exotic dishes (Asian, Mexican, Indian), as well as with sweet dishes or desserts featuring fruit and light creams.

Vinevinu

Vinevinu was founded in the 2024 harvest, driven by the shared enthusiasm between father and son, Luís and Manuel Cerdeira, both winemakers. The goal is to create an innovative project in the Vinho Verde region in northern Portugal, exploring the versatility of Alvarinho and capturing its essence across different terroirs, between the sea and the mountains.

With over 30 years of experience, Luís Cerdeira is a reference in the world of Alvarinho. Throughout his career, he was responsible for the Proving Chamber of CVR Vinhos Verdes and for managing the family brand Soalheiro, consolidating it as an international icon. His deep knowledge and passion for the grape are the solid foundation upon which Vinevinu is built, respecting the winemaking tradition of the Minho while embracing innovation.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Manuel Cerdeira graduated in Viticulture and Oenology in the United Kingdom in 2024. He developed a modern, global perspective on the industry, with practical experiences in regions like Alentejo, Chile, and Vinho Verde. Co-founder of Not Yet Named Wine Co., he brought a bold approach to winemaking, reflecting his creativity. Now, he combines this contemporary vision with the family legacy, exploring new horizons for Alvarinho.

The team is complemented by Carolina Osorio, born in Colombia, who brings a unique global perspective due to her international experience. Trained in Industrial Design and specialized in Wine Business, Carolina is responsible for an innovative approach to communication and the promotion of authenticity in the wine sector.
