Aveleda
2024 Harvest in the Vinho Verde region
The winter was the warmest since 1931, but early-season rainfall replenished soil water reserves. Spring continued this trend, ensuring essential hydration for the vines. The summer was dry and warm but without extremes, favoring balanced ripening. The result? Wines with excellent structure, presence, and aromatic intensity that balance minerality and fruit.
Winemaking Process:
Produced from the main native grape varieties of the Vinho Verde region, Aveleda Vinho Verde perfectly reflects the region’s character. Grapes are harvested at night and gently pressed at low pressure, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the grapes’ aromas. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and cold stabilized.
Food Pairings:
Appetizers: codfish cakes, pies, olives.
Main dishes: chicken or vegetable curry, grilled white fish, grilled vegetables.
