Angostura 1919® is a luxurious sipping rum with a unique history. In 1932, after a catastrophic fire, hundreds of charred barrels filled with rum were discovered in the Trinidad Government Rum Bond. The barrels, filled in 1919, had aged for 13 years.

Angostura 1919® is a clear golden rum aged in charred, used bourbon oak barrels, distilled in Angostura’s multi-column continuous still. It has been produced using the exclusive blending techniques developed by the Fernandes family in the 19th century, the same blend that was recovered from charred barrels after the 1932 fire.

An incredible blend of rums aged between 5 and 14 years, Angostura 1919® is a true Trinidadian rum, woody on the palate, with exotic spices, vanilla, a touch of honey, and dried fruit notes that beautifully complement desserts and chocolate.
