Herdade do Rocim
Climate: Typically mediterranean and set in the sub-region of Vidigueira, where the climatic conditions are the most temperate of Alentejo and provide an excellent microclimate for the production of quality wines. Soil: Poor land, predominantly of granite and schist. Great pedological potential for the cultivation of vines and for obtaining quality wines. Wine Varieties: The Touriga Nacional variety is planted in a plot exposed to the east, following a multi-spaced trellised system, LYS. The rows have an east/west orientation.Vinification: Manual harvest into 12 kg boxes. At the winery, the grapes were once again meticulosly triaged on a vibrating sorting table, before being fully destemmed and lightly crushed. The free run juice was cold settled. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 15ºC, for 19 days. It aged in the bottle for three months. Limited to existing stock. If the wine you have purchased runs out of stock, we will contact you to suggest a different wine, or to return the amount paid.
