O Produtor, tasting note published in November 23rd 2022

Color: The brightness and clarity of the wine offer the eye reflections of pale gold mixed with very fine bubbles that give rise to abundant and persistent foam.
Nose: Armed with exceptional finesse, this cuvée releases aromas of pear and dried fruits (almonds, fresh hazelnuts) that marry with notes of white flowers and some accents of brioche.
Palate: The attack is frank and lively and gives way to a round wine, with restrained power, a sign of long aging in traditional cellars.

Barons de Rothschild

Our cuvée Brut, a great blend of wines predominantly composed of Chardonnay, has a new look and now proudly displays the Maison and Rothschild family’s identity colors, blue and gold. Another major change: it now proudly bears the name ‘Concordia’, one of the pillars of the family motto, meaning ‘all hearts together’ and a symbol of this cuvée, the initial meeting point between the 3 branches of the Family.”

Brut Barons de Rothschild is a rich, complex, and airy wine. Its blend is based on wines with at least 3 years of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the best terroirs in Champagne; an intelligent and balanced blend for a highly sophisticated Champagne.

This cuvée is composed of 60% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs and 40% Pinot Noir mainly from Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil sur Ay, Bouzy… Reserve wines make up about 40% of the blend, an exceptional mark of quality and consistency.

With a low dosage and stored for at least 6 months after ‘dégorgement’, this champagne offers a balanced and pleasant mouthfeel that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or during a meal.

Barons de Rothschild

Vision, entrepreneurship, and excellence have guided the Rothschild Family since the birth of its founder, Mayer Amschel Rothschild, in 1744. With expertise in making great wines since 1853, the different branches of the Family are today responsible for some of the most renowned estates in the world, such as Château Mouton Rothschild or Château Lafite Rothschild.

Passionate about the greatest terroirs in France and around the world, the three branches of the Rothschild Family – today represented by Baron Philippe Sereys de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild), Baron Benjamin and his wife Ariane (Château Clarke – Edmond de Rothschild Group), and Baron Eric and his daughter Saskia (Château Lafite Rothschild) – are joining forces, for the first time in their history, in the creation of a common estate.

“We wanted to do something together. Champagne was the natural choice. And rather than buying a House, we decided to create our own.” – Philippe Sereys de Rothschild

Thus was born in 2005 Champagne Barons de Rothschild.
