O Produtor, tasting note published in July 11th 1905

Great intensity, revealing aromatic complexity due to the particular ageing conditions. The superior integration of aromas from the French oak in which it was aged stands out. Intense attack, voluminous, revealing a lively but very integrated acidity.
The finish is long and memorable.

Vinhas da Teixuga

Made from grapes from the old vines at Quinta da Teixuga, with predominance of Encruzado grape variety, this wine fermented in a first temperature control, ending the fermentation in new French oak barrels of 300 litres where it aged for 19 months. During the ageing, periodic bâtonnage was carried out in order to obtain the optimum integration of the wine with the wood. After bottling, this wine aged for a further 12 months in the bottle. Therefore, given the particular ageing conditions and the characteristics of the grape variety, this is a wine with great ageing capacity.
