With a fresh and complex aroma, varietal notes of typical Duriense plateau grape varieties in harmony with the notes of toast and ripe citrus fruit typical of the prolonged contact with the lees.
Manual harvesting, reception with destemming and crushing. Fermentation under controlled temperature, using very gentle crushing and pressing processes under inert atmosphere. Partial prolonged fermentation in wood. Fermentation and ageing in French and American wood with stirring of the fine lees until its filling.

Adega de Vila Real was founded in 1955 and is part of the Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest in the world, being also recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage.
The vineyards and Quintas of our associates are still cultivated according to traditional techniques, being composed mostly by old vines, with low level of mechanization and low productions per hectare.
