O Produtor, tasting note published in May 19th 2025

Colour: Bright, lemon-citrus.
Nose: Exuberant, highly aromatic and fresh. Displays notes of tropical fruit, such as pineapple, contrasted with white-fleshed fruit like melon, complemented by subtle vegetal nuances reminiscent of asparagus.
Palate: Fresh on entry, very fruity and well-balanced. Shows good acidity supported by ripe fruit flavours, with some tropical notes that define its character and provide balance. Long and persistent finish. Good ageing potential.

Lavradores de Feitoria

Outside the original concept of the Três Bagos brand and born from an experimental batch that quickly became a sales success, this monovarietal expresses the fresh aromas characteristic of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The partial ageing in oak adds structure and complexity, elements that also provide good ageing potential.

Harvest: Handpicked, in small boxes.
Winemaking: 80% in stainless steel, 20% in barrels.
Ageing: 80% in stainless steel and 20% in French oak barrels for 4 to 5 months.
Winemaker: Paulo Ruão.
Soil type: Schist.
Vine age: 25 to 30 years.
Analytical data: Total acidity: 5.40 g/dm³ | pH: 3.42.

Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, to enjoy on its own or at the table with salads, fish dishes, seafood, and sushi. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Lavradores de Feitoria

Lavradores de Feitoria, Vinhos de Quinta S.A. is a unique project, created in September 2000 as a result of the union of 15 farmers, owners of 18 estates distributed across the best terroirs of the Douro, spread across the three sub-regions (Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo, and Douro Superior). Currently, the company’s structure includes 48 shareholders, of which 15 are grape producers, and 19 estates. Together, they comprise a total vineyard area of over 600 hectares.

These producers – with distinct stakes in the company’s capital, under a single brand, a single winery, and a single winemaking team – came together to share resources and create synergies to achieve what they could not alone. For the first time in the Douro, a group of determined locals combined knowledge and experience, innovation, and tradition. A collective and supportive effort that marked a new era for the Douro.

Sharing and association, coordinated in a modern, reasonable, and intelligent manner, are the underlying values of Lavradores de Feitoria. The goal from the outset was to create balanced, elegant wines with aging potential, based on a declared commitment to the excellence and tradition of the Douro.

With 19 estates spread throughout the Douro, Lavradores de Feitoria manages to obtain the best raw material, with grapes of all varieties (even the lesser-known ones), vines of all ages, planted at various altitudes, with different exposures, in a huge diversity of soils.
