Old vines planted in granite soils, aged between 60 and 100 years, located at approximately 600 metres altitude. The grape varieties include Encruzado, Bical, Fernão Pires, Dona Branca (Síria), Rabo de Ovelha, Malvasia Fina and other traditional regional varieties.
The winemaking process begins with destemming and pressing, followed by static settling of the free-run juice. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in 500-litre barrels, where the wine remains on full lees for 11 months. Full malolactic fermentation takes place, adding complexity and texture.
