It presents a straw yellow colour, with greenish shades, complex aromas revealing fruity characters with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and apricot, floral characters such as linden and honey, in an elegant and deep mouth with a strong body and structure.
From the vineyards located in Quinta da Bacalhôa we selected the varieties Sémillon, Alvarinho and Sauvignon blanc in their ideal maturation point to produce the Quinta da Bacalhôa White 2019. Each variety was vinified separately respecting its optimal ripeness for the style that is intended. With a start of fermentation in stainless steel vats, 16% of the must, only the Sémillon variety, fermented and aged in new French oak barrels followed by a five month stage with “batonnage”. After the final blending in the second fortnight of February 2020 the wine was bottled.
