Maçanita
Following the traditional methods of Colares, the fourth generation of the Ramilo family replanted their free-standing vines, which once survived the Phylloxera. From the Malvasia de Colares grapes, matured on the sandy soil, with the sea at their side, comes a wine whose longevity and saline freshness are surprising. An iconic wine, in Portugal and in the world.
The harvest was meticulous and manual, respecting the integrity of the berries. Part of the grapes were vinified by the open skins method, in small stainless steel vats (without contact with the skins) and the other part by tanning (contact with the skins) in the press.
Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
