O Produtor, tasting note published in March 14th 2025
This wine is a harmonious combination of the Alvarinho and Trajadura grape varieties. It has a lemon-yellow colour, an elegant, mineral aroma and a delicate palate.
The Dona Paterna winery, owned by Carlos Alberto Codesso, is located at Quinta da Carvalheira, in the centre of the parish of Paderne, near the town of Melgaço. The Codesso family has been growing Alvarinho grapes since 1974 and began producing and bottling their own wines under the Dona Paterna label in 1990.
“This wine has everything to win over those who taste it: freshness, lightness, and a profile that suits any table. It’s a classic combination from our region, made with respect for tradition and refined over time and experience,” says Carlos Codesso, producer at Dona Paterna.
