O Produtor, tasting note published in March 27th 2025

Intense and very fresh aroma, with notes of tropical fruits and grapefruit. On the palate, it is balanced, with good acidity, and the fruit flavor dominates. Long, creamy, and pleasant finish. A blended white, made from traditional Douro grape varieties, in a modern style, with intense aroma and freshness on the palate.

D.Graça

A good vintage in the Douro, without extreme weather events. In spring, there was some hail that slightly affected the production of vineyards in the higher areas. Water reserves were sufficient, so irrigation was not necessary, except in Pocinho. The hot days at the end of August slightly affected the grapes of early varieties, such as Viosinho and Moscatel Galego. September and October were neither very hot nor rainy, allowing exceptional Rabigato grapes and red grape varieties to ripen slowly, producing very aromatic wines, with excellent color and high quality. Production was above average.

Vinification: Grapes were fully destemmed, followed by pressing under inert atmosphere to preserve the aromatic potential of the grapes. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 16 °C and 18 °C.

Bottling: March 2025.

Analytical Parameters: Total acidity – 6.1 g/L | Volatile acidity – 0.34 g/L | pH – 3.26.

Serving Suggestion: Serve between 8 and 10 °C. Suitable as an aperitif or for everyday meals, ideal with seafood, fish, light meats, pasta, pizza, sushi, or other Asian cuisine.

Vinilourenço

VINILOURENÇO has its headquarters in the Upper Douro, in the village of Poço do Canto, near the city of Meda. It was created with the mission of transforming and boosting the production of the vines that began to be planted in the 80’s by Horácio Lourenço, after his return from Angola. His passion for wine led him to develop his heritage. The concept of “Quinta” does not apply to the 45 existing Hectares due to their different locations, Poço do Canto, Vale da Teja and Pocinho. The disadvantage of the higher cost of production is balanced by the greater diversity allowing to take full advantage of all the properties with altitudes ranging from 180m to 700m. The soils are Schist in the lower areas and Schist/Granite in the higher areas. The differences in climate, location, altitude and soil, combined with the same grape varieties planted in different territories, allow the creation of distinct wines avoiding the common standardization. From 2006 Jorge Lourenço creates VINILOURE with the precious help of his father Horácio Lourenço.
