Chateau Changyu Moser XV
The world’s first Blanc de Noir Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak barrels!
What started as an experiment can now be enjoyed for the first time in the history of wine: a barrel-aged version of White Cabernet. We loved the stainless steel version of our Blanc de Noir Cabernet Sauvignon so much that we decided to age it in barrels.
After numerous tastings in the cellar, we became more and more confident that this wine would be truly spectacular – and indeed it is! All the characteristics of our other unoaked White Cabernet have been refined with subtle barrel aging for 12 months.
Early harvest of healthy grapes at 23 brix. Direct pressing of destemmed grapes to create a white Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels (Nadilie and Vicard), with a small proportion blended back into stainless steel.
Cultivation and blending under the close supervision of Lenz M. Moser (Head Winemaker at Château Changyu Moser XV), who spent the entire harvest period in Ningxia.
