Madeira Agricultural Rum with Protected Geographical Indication – PGI.
A tribute to João Gonçalves Zarco, a Portuguese navigator and the discoverer of the island of Madeira in 1419. He is regarded by all Madeirans as the founder of the city of Funchal.
This ZARCO Velho Rum is exclusively obtained through alcoholic fermentation of fresh sugar cane juice, followed by distillation and aged for 3 years in French oak casks.
