Very intense and very complex aroma wine.
Wine produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from the old vineyards constituted by great grape varieties of the Douro, around the medieval citadel of Vila Real, at about 500mt, which allow to achieve the elegance and freshness of this blend. The extended aging in French oak (75%) and American oak (25%) barrels added notes of cloves, vanilla, adding more complexity to the aromas of the grapes.

Adega de Vila Real was founded in 1955 and is part of the Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest in the world, being also recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage.
The vineyards and Quintas of our associates are still cultivated according to traditional techniques, being composed mostly by old vines, with low level of mechanization and low productions per hectare. It is there that the grapes that give origin to our Port and Douro Wines are born, with a modern and international profile maintaining the “terroir” of the Douro.
In recent years the brand “Adega de Vila Real” has become one of the references of great vitality of the Douro, and the affirmation of the region both in Portugal and abroad, through an offer of wines widely distinguished by the excellent price/quality ratio, the press and the most reputable competitions”.
