Sourced from vineyards located on high terraces and facing north, Vale D. Maria Douro Superior Tinto is made from grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, among others. It is a versatile wine, perfect for all occasions, and an excellent introduction to the Quinta Vale D. Maria universe.

Aging: 65% ages for 12 months in large oak vats and French oak barrels, 35% in stainless steel tanks.

Winemaker: Rui Viana.

Pairing: Cheese, roast beef with asparagus, and shrimp curry.

Quinta Vale D. Maria is a very old property in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region. A small but dedicated team of winemakers and winemakers – Sandra Tavares da Silva, Joana Pinhão and Cristiano van Zeller – try to ensure that each of the Port or Douro DOC wines represents the best that the Region has to offer. The efforts try to be characterized by innovation and differentiation. The aim is that the wines reflect personality, character, pleasure, fun, being directed towards people and the pleasure of life.
