Quinta de Lemos
The full, voluminous Touriga Nacionaland the complex-scented Jaen grow on slopes between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. The vineyard is managed under an integrated protection programme, with no herbicides being applied.
Weeds are controlled by tilling the soil. Harvest is done manually, variety by variety, when they reach their optimum point of maturation, between the second half of September and the first half of October. The harvest is done in small 10 kg boxes.
These wines are obtained after fermentation at a controlled temperature so as to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in stainless steel vats for 20 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, where it remains until bottling.
