Quinta da Roseira
The Quinta da Roseira 2011 Red Wine comes from Class A vineyards (the highest classification in the Douro Demarcated Region) planted in schistous and poor soils. Touriga Nacionaland Touriga Franca are the predominant grape varieties. All vineyards are cultivated in certified integrated production, seeking to minimize negative impacts on the environment.
Winemaking: Grapes transported in 20 kg crates. Mechanical crushing with partial destemming. Fermentation in lagar with mechanical treading. Indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aging in tank and new and used French oak barrels. Bottled at the estate, without fining or filtration, on June 5, 2014. 199 magnums, all numbered.
