O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2019

This is a red ruby wine and fresh aromas of menthol notes, framed in a soft floral and toasted sensation. On the palate, the freshness follows a center of mouth with good volume and soft tannin. The end of the mouth is intense and striking.

Pôpa VV

The Douro is, inevitably, a synonym for red wines. It is a region traditionally of Old Vineyards that give nectars with history, holders of an exuberance resulting from the traditional blend of grape varieties. Here we can include the ‘Pôpa VV red 2014’. The grapes harvested in a special vineyard with more than 80 years and more than 21 typical grape varieties of this region result in a blend of excellence. Winemaking in a winery with the cut made walking on foot preserves a wine-growing Douro with centuries of tradition. After the alcoholic fermentation in a temperature controlled winery, the stage was carried out in new and used barrels of French and American oak for a period of 12 to 15 months.
