Monte Meão
Quinta do Vale Meão has enormous symbolism, as it is an idealised project from scratch, as the quinta was acquired on virgin land.
In itself, Quinta do Vale Meão is truly one of Portugal’s most interesting and coveted wines. It deserves to be highlighted for the quality it offers in every vintage in which it is marketed.
The winemaking process
This is one of the last vineyards to be harvested. The grapes are crushed in lagares, then transferred to vats, where fermentation takes place over eight days. The wine is aged for 16 months in 10% new and 90% used barrels.
