O Produtor, tasting note published in May 23rd 2020

Grande Vadio Red 2017 is a wine of great fruit definition, revealing a bouquet where wild berries and the balsamic notes typical of the Baga grape take center stage. On the palate, it shows remarkable harmony and elegance, dominated by delicate tannins and well-balanced acidity. Produced in the Bairrada region of Portugal, this red wine is an excellent pairing for meat dishes or aged cheeses.

Vadio Bairrada Doc

VADIO is situated in the village of Poutena in the region of BAIRRADA. It is a small and family project founded in 2005 by winemaker Luís Patrão, whose essential element is the recovery of traditional grape varieties and the production of authentic DOC BAIRRADA wines. We have three totally distinct small vineyards and an old warehouse which we have adapted in a very simple way for the production of wine. Our wines present a classic style that intends to respect the authenticity of the region and the character of the grape varieties that give it origin.
