O Produtor, tasting note published in August 1st 2023

Dark ruby in color, deep and opaque, this wine reveals great aromatic complexity, with earthy and vegetal notes, accompanied by ripe black fruit, green pepper, Portobello mushroom, and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, it is intense and structured, with firm tannins, broad dimension, and freshness, delivering a long, persistent, and captivating finish.

Quinta da Atela

Quinta da Atela, located in Alpiarça, on the south bank of the river Tejo, was created in 1346 by the Counts of Ourém and donated to the Convent of Graça de Santarém of Agostinhos Calçados, at the time still called Quinta da Goucha. The main activity focuses on wine production with grape varieties of high potential, adapted to the soil and climate of the property, transmitting to the wines the best of the essence of the vineyards, the terroir and the Ribatejo.
This project of Quinta da Atela originates from a historical passion of producing regional wine from Tejo.
