Tinta Francisca is a grape variety very present in the Douro’s Old Vineyards, to which, after in-depth study, we have worked to recover its cultivation in order to produce a high quality wine of this noble variety.
Characterised by low levels of production, Tinta Francisca has a long cycle with late maturation, a small bunch reminiscent in its shape of Pinot Noir, medium to high vegetative vigor, distinguished in the landscape by the green of its very bright and lustrous leaves.
This grape variety attracted us to the possibility of creating a wine with a different style from the usual, aromatically very attractive, of medium structure, elegant profile, but of great intensity. Thus we find, through a very old grape variety, a new Douro.
