Cabeça de Burro
The Cabeça de Burro wines have accumulated so many stories over these 42 years that they have become an unforgettable brand from the Douro region. They now present a renewed, modern, and contemporary image, while preserving the classic character of this icon of Portuguese wines.
The red wine is a classic-profile Douro, made with several grape varieties from the Denominação de Origem Douro. A reserve wine with a unique personality marked by its history, standing out for its spicy structure in the aroma.
With a generous body, it is a wine that fills the palate, with a persistent finish and the characteristic acidity of the region. Elegant, it reveals interesting nuances and a captivating freshness. It is a wine for aging, gaining complexity over time, but it is already ready to pair with more sophisticated dishes.
It pairs perfectly with traditional Portuguese cuisine, such as roasted meats and soft cheeses, as well as elaborate dishes, intense-flavored vegan meals, and desserts made with chocolate or red fruits.
Vinification and aging: 100% manual harvest. Crushing with full de-stemming. Long fermentation with strong maceration and controlled temperature. Aging for 12 months in large capacity wooden vats and at least 6 months in bottle.
