Bruno Giacosa
This Barbaresco Asili Riserva 2020 originates from the Asili subarea, in the village of Barbaresco, from a 2.5-hectare vineyard facing South/South-West and located at 250 metres above sea level. The soil is clay-limestone with a good proportion of sand, ideal for promoting a balance between structure and elegance. The 32-year-old vines are planted at a density of 4,200 vines per hectare, ensuring a controlled yield of 45 hectolitres per hectare.
Harvest date: 1st October 2020.
Vinification and ageing: Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel vats for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation completed. Aged for 20 months in large French oak barrels, followed by 30 months in bottle.
Bottling date: August 2022.
