This red is my favourite whenever I want a glass of wine. It's a pure red.
Transparent Sangiovese with plenty of cherry and raspberry, good acidity that helps with food and a medium round body with low tannins and a vibrant, surprising flavour.
Casamatta grapes come from the youngest vineyards, from the vineyards north of Florence southwards towards Siena. Fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks in order to maintain the style of the wine and lasts no more than a week, with no maceration at the end of the process. The different vineyards are blended and aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks before final bottling.
