Testamatta 2018 – 100% Sangiovese
“The word that best describes the 2018 vintage is ‘wild’ – the beauty of raw nature.
There was a lot of rain in July and August, which made canopy management challenging — the vines never stopped growing. This created a kind of untidiness in the vineyard… and I loved it! The vines were stunning before the harvest began. It was truly moving.”

“2021 is one of those vintages where the wines show more roundness, more width and incredibly vibrant fruit. It’s a generous vintage.
Colore is our highest expression, coming from our four oldest vineyards.
The first thing you feel when tasting Colore is the flowers. It’s an explosion of the senses. It’s like springtime: fragrances, energy, power, beauty, sunshine… it’s all there! And all of it is in Colore 2021.”
Colore 2022 – 96% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo, 1% Colorino
“In 2022, I decided to focus only on vineyards located above 400 meters altitude. So, instead of the usual four vineyards, Colore 2022 is a blend of just two.
The first is Olmo, a 60-year-old vineyard at 420 meters, where the terroir is dominated by constant winds. This wind brings transparency, acidity and red fruit to the wine.
The second is Lamole, a 90-year-old bush-trained vineyard at 650 meters, with very fine sandy soils and abundant underground water.
The wine has incredible tension!”
