Deep red in colour, with violet hues. A rich nose with notes of wild blackberries and violets — a fresh and suggestive aroma. On the palate, it is red, fresh, with elegant tannins and a smooth texture, in harmony with the nose, and balanced acidity that provides a long and persistent finish.
The freshness and aromatic intensity of this elegant Alentejo red make it perfect for rich and well-seasoned cuisine. An excellent choice to pair with a board of strong, traditional cheeses, cured meats, or any elaborate red meat dish.
Winemakers: Carlos Rodrigues and Andreia Reis.
Vinification: Following manual harvest and a careful selection of grape bunches, the destemmed grapes fermented at controlled temperature in a 5000 L French oak vat. The wine then aged for a further 12 months in both new and used French oak barrels. After bottling, it continued to evolve in bottle until the time of its release.
