Quinta Seara d’Ordens

The Quinta Seara D’Ordens Fine Tawny is a Port Wine of a classic label. From the annually produced in foot-press and in vats with automatic reassembling and temperature control, we select those who present the best conditions for the stay in vats and oak barrels.

Red – coloured with golden highlights and dried fruit scents (walnut, almond and hazelnut), brings us a sweet and elegant freshness in the mouth, with a velvety flavour to finish in a most pleasant note.

Quinta Seara d'Ordens

We were at the end of the eighteenth century, when the Leite family acquired a large place near the spot of Poiares Seara. Its owner, fascinated by the beauty of the place and its excellent location, access promptly invested in the property and the planting of vineyards, olive and almond trees.

Years later, his son, although a military career, never stopped worrying about the property and its development. Meanwhile he became the commander of the Lamego’s barracks, but still spent much time on their ownership of Seara. During his absence from the barracks soldiers were sent to Seara to receive orders of the commander. The popular, admired by the passage of soldiers on horseback, asked:
-Where to go?
The soldiers responded that:
-We go to Quinta da Seara receive orders from the commander …
So from that point, the place is now called the “Quinta da Seara D’Ordens”.
