This is the first 50 Years Tawny Port from Real Companhia Velha, made with wines from the 1920s, 1960s, and 1970s from the extensive collection of old Port wines from Quinta das Carvalhas, aged in Vila Nova de Gaia in the finest oak barrels.

Quinta das Carvalhas is one of the five estates of Real Companhia Velha, often referred to as the crown jewel. Located in a privileged position on the left bank of the Douro River, opposite the village of Pinhão, in the heart of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro, it is one of the most emblematic and spectacular estates in the region, dating back to 1759. A significant portion of the vineyards on this property consists of Old Vines, with their grape varieties representing one of the richest and most varied ampelographic collections of Douro grape varieties. In the 2000s, a considerable effort began to convert the vineyards of Quinta das Carvalhas to sustainable viticulture, preserving the plots of Old Vines, some of which are centuries old and the source of the finest wines.
