O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2015

During aging in the wood, the ruby color turns brown and the wine gains dry fruits (almonds, figs, nuts) and spicy aromas of the oak. Powerful, pure and clear aromas, maturity and refinement. It has a wonderful taste of chocolate and dried fruits; exotic resins. A good length in the mouth, a long finish. Overall, complex, harmonious and fresh finish.

Quinta Casa Amarela

Quinta da Casa Amarela is located on the left bank of the Douro River, in an area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, halfway between the towns of Régua and Lamego, in the heart of the world’s oldest demarcated wine region – the Douro.

It has been owned by the same family since 1885. The estate house, rebuilt and expanded in the first quarter of the last century, gives the property its name due to its distinctive yellow colour.

A true family-run estate, it carries on the centuries-old traditions of the region in the art of producing Port wine and Douro DOC wines.
