Expressive nose with notes of dried fruit, dried oregano and tea leaves. On the palate it surprises by bringing together the typical rusticity of the astringency of the tannins with a
with a soft and enveloping mouth, resulting in a very pleasant set, with notes of dried fruit, laurel and loquats.

Quinta de Santa Teresa

Quinta de Santa Teresa Curtimenta is a tanning white wine, also included in the orange wine category. The wine is a single varietal Avesso, produced from Quinta de Santa Teresa vineyards. Reception of the grapes at the winery in 24kg boxes. Manual selection followed by destemming, with fermentation of the must in vats with the grape skins. This tanning process, similar to the red wine vinification process, promotes the dissolution of more phenolic compounds and tannins resulting in a wine with orangey amber tones. Spontaneous fermentation with remontage and temperature control. After fermentation the wine was decanted and racked, not remaining on the lees. Partly matured in barriques for 6 months, and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Cold stabilization and bottling without filtration. No animal derivatives are used. Biological certified wine.

It was in 2015 that A&D Wines decided to move on to a more ambitious project by acquiring Quinta de Santa Teresa, another investment in Baião, this time with 33 ha of vineyard to which 5 ha of Casa do Arrabalde and 7 hectares of Quinta dos Espinhosos are added, making a total of 45 ha. The medium term goal is to reach a production of 300.000 bottles and to place Quinta de Santa Teresa in the Enotourism map of the region.
