Palpite
This white wine is a true reflection of the Alentejo, produced from the region’s traditional grape varieties, such as Arinto and Alicante Branco, as well as old vines from blends. Its production follows principles of minimal intervention, with no sulphites added until the end of fermentation, resulting in a spontaneous fermentation in barrels and a long ageing on the lees. Originating in the Alentejo wine region, this wine is presented in 8,734 0.75 litre bottles and offers remarkable concentration, aromatic intensity and tertiary notes that make it an excellent complement to elaborate fish dishes and simple white meats. The vines are grown organically, aged between 25 and 30 years, and certified under the Alentejo sustainability programme, guaranteeing a yield of 3000 kg/ha. Winemaking is carefully carried out with manual night harvesting, direct pressing and spontaneous fermentation in barrels, followed by a 15-month ageing on fine lees, without battonage, in French oak barrels. Serve this wine at 10ºC and enjoy a unique experience that reflects the Alentejo terroir. With low levels of sulphites, it meets the standards of organic and biodynamic wines. This wine is the result of the talent of winemakers António Maçanita and Sandra Sárria.
