Vineyard
Textura da Estrela Jaen 2019 comes from a single parcel located in Vila Nova de Tazem (Serra da Estrela sub-region). The 28-year-old vineyards on granite soils, sustainably treated without herbicides, have been in conversion to organic certification since 2020.

Vineyard
This Jaen was fermented with indigenous yeasts only in cement vats with 35% whole bunches, followed by 30 days in vats. After spending the first winter in cement, it was aged for 6 months in French oak barrels. Natural stabilisation.

Textura Wines

Textura Wines is a family project started in 2018 in Dão on the slopes of Serra da Estrela and involving organic viticulture, terroir wine production and wine tourism. In search of existing vineyards in a region of small producers, we have 22 ha of vineyards on 7 different plots in Vila Nova de Tazem and in Penalva do Castelo. With a low-intervention oenology, which reflects the soil and the location of each of our vineyards, the aim is to achieve wines with character, elegant and distinctive. Respect for the place and its biodiversity (soil, flora and fauna, people and community), the preservation of resources (natural and cultural) and local development are the basis of our fundamental principles.
