Quinta Maria Izabel
The harvest took place in mid-September. The grapes harvested were selected in the vineyard and then introduced into the vats with 40% destemming and 60% whole bunch, allowing to extract more gently the colour and aroma compounds during 2 weeks of alcoholic fermentation totally in stainless steel vats, having completed the malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. After ageing 50% in used 3 year 400 L and 225 L French oak barrels, and 50% in second year barrels; where it remained for 9 months. Filling and ageing for 20 months in the bottle.
