In this 2017 harvest, we selected the grapes from the Pinheiro Ramudo vineyard, harvested in the third week of September. The classic vinification of guard red wines was followed by a 10-month ageing in French oak barrels. The year 2017 was characterised by being globally late, with moderate temperatures and great day-night thermal amplitudes during the maturation period, which allowed a perfect maturation resulting in a full-bodied and aromatically exuberant profile. It shows good acidity and a structure supported by soft tannins so characteristic of the Syrah’s of the Poceirão sands.
