Dark purple with an attractive aroma of violets, plum and raspberry. It's a velvety wine, well balanced but with serious and powerful tannins and fine acidity. A serious Port, fresh and well balanced that could only be from the Pinhão valley.

Portal

2016 proved to be an atypical year and a challenge. A challenge that we consider to have been overcome, and this wine is one of the proofs of that.

Portal 2016 is a blend of grapes mostly from the Pinhão River Valley, to which were added grapes from other valleys along the Douro.

Fermentation took place in a mixture of a lagar and a closed vat. In the lagar we achieve greater complexity and structure, while the vat guarantees freshness and an aromatic component.
