O Produtor, tasting note published in August 23rd 2021

A look at the main international grape varieties harvested in Portugal, from Syrah, present from north to south, to a lesser known Tannat, grown in the Lisbon region. All of them bring a greater richness of flavours and aromas, with the terroirs showing the differentiation of each of them. A journey around the world in Portugal.

Selection Rodolfo Tristão #9

The selections of our sommelier Rodolfo Tristão bring a new way of looking at Portuguese wines. Based on the Portuguese grape varieties, which originate from a particular region, Rodolfo Tristão chooses 6 wines from different regions, where this grape variety is also used in wine production. The same grape variety, different terroirs. An olfactory and sensory experience, which leads you to understand each of our original grape varieties. For this Selection #9 and contrary to the other selections, we present 6 international grape varieties, for which the following wines have been chosen:

Sidónio de Sousa Merlot from the Bairrada Region
Quinta da Chocapalha Cabernet Sauvignon from the Lisbon Region
Herdade do Arrepiado Petit Verdot from the Alentejo Region
Quinta do Gradil Tannat from the Lisbon Region
Ermelinda Freitas Carmenere Reserve from the Setúbal Region
Júlia Kemper Syrah from the Dão Region
