O Produtor, tasting note published in April 27th 2020
Tira o Véu is a white wine, with a citrus aspect, with exhilarating floral aromas. Very dense and provocative, its striking tannins reveal the years of its old vines. With a long and persistent finish.
Tira o Véu is a white wine from an old vine over 85 years old from Serra de São Mamede with a mixture of traditional grape varieties. It was fermented in Amphoras with 30% pelicular contact, and in December of the same year the peliculas were removed and returned to the Amphora to age and round the tannins. During the spring of the following year it created a Veil of Flower on the surface, a phenomenon that rarely happens, and which is typical of Jerez wines. It was in contact with the Veil until the bottling date which, together with the skin contact, gives it a very particular flavour and aroma. Limited to existing stock. If the wine you bought is out of stock, we will contact you to propose a different wine, or to return the amount paid. Promotions on wines cannot be combined with other discounts or coupons.
