O Produtor, tasting note published in February 21st 2023
Made from grapes harvested at Quinta de Monforte, from the Alvarinho variety. It reveals notes of peach, white flowers, and citrus nuances, beautifully integrated with subtle oak, completing a highly complex aromatic profile.
On the palate, it shows great quality, with tension, freshness, creaminess, and texture, leading to a long and complex finish.
VINIFICATION: The must from whole-cluster pressed grapes is cooled to 10 ºC to allow static decantation.
The clean must begins fermentation at a controlled temperature of 17 ºC in stainless steel tanks. Halfway through fermentation, the wine is transferred to new 500 L French oak barrels, where fermentation is completed and ageing continues with bâtonnage for 12 months.
This is followed by 14 months of bottle ageing.
CHEMICAL ANALYSIS: Total Acidity – 6.6 g/dm³ | pH – 3.3
