Intense straw-coloured wine, with expressive aromas of smoke, wet stone, yeast, toasted bread and white flowers. In the mouth it has a lot of volume and structure supported by a lively and refreshing acidity.
The fresh grapes at their ideal point of ripeness, hand picked for boxes of 20 kg, are transported to the winery where they were subjected to a careful manual selection, destemming and crushing. They are pressed in a pneumatic press and the remaining must, in stainless steel vats, decanted at 8º for 48 hours. The alcoholic fermentation started at a controlled temperature in stainless steel, followed later to oak barrels for another 12 months, with regular lifting of the fine lees.
Titan of Douro
The work from the beginning has always focused on finding old vines in the most genuine and least explored places in the Douro, where there were new stories to tell in the form of wine. It was at the Foothills of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 mts Alt), in Paredes da Beira, at the highest point in the Douro, that it all began. Surrounded by an abundance of granitic outcrops, the area has sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, altitude between 700 – 1,000 meters, lies on the slopes of the Távora River and boasts an enviable heritage of centuries-old vineyards, untouchable over time, held by the tanned hands of years of hard work for generations. This results in wines of great freshness, character and identity! The bet will always boost the best that the vineyard gives, respecting its history, tradition and the essence of its people.
