Intense and dark purple-red colour.
Intense and dark. Aromas of ripe fruit such as plum and spices very well integrated. Dense and intense Douro nose. Full-bodied, sensual and enveloping, with a broad attack that follows to a mid-palate without weight, but intense, defined by a fantastic energy. Round tannins and a mouth-watering acidity, expansive and intensely floral finish.
Our greatest masterpiece.
Zuccaro is unique. Grapes from a field blend that give origin to this wine. More than 16 grape varieties identified, in a schist soil, from a group of 7 plots with different sun exposure, at an altitude ranging from 620 to 710 m. Our commitment ensured a quality production. There was no significant drop in production, on the contrary, the grapes survived and were
and were strong and healthy enough to develop good wines.
It emerges indecipherable. It is harmonious and elegant. Long profile that seduces any mortal. A nectar of identity which carries name and surname: Quinta Alta – Zuccaro! Manual harvest on 27 September 2018,carried out in crates of up to 20 kg, manual selection on a mat. After destemming, it goes straight to the press, with controlled temperature for maceration with pre-fermentative foot treading also with controlled temperature. Aged for 30 months in new, medium toast French oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation.
