O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2017

This wine has a sweet and balanced flavor, where suggestions of ripe fruits and toasted notes reign in a deep plant. Fresh and inviting. The mouth tasting shows a wine with volume, intensity and texture of masterful. It ends in a big, voluptuous place like the Alentejo plain, where it was born.

Aragonez da Peceguina

The harvest was performed manually in 12 kg boxes in the early hours of the morning. Our grapes immediately went to the winery, where they were subjected to a rigorous selection at the table of choice. The fermentation process took place with controlled temperatures in small open fermenters, where the grapes were often trampled by the traditional method. Later, the wine aged in new French oak barrels (225 liters) for 18 months.

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is a typical Alentejo family homestead, bought in 1998 by the Soares family: João, Paulo, Rita, João and Maria Antónia Soares. Located in Albernôa, in the heart of Baixo Alentejo, it is a space of freedom, lost in the horizon without limits. Since 1998, the family’s passion and commitment have led to the transformation of long-abandoned lands into soils capable of giving life to genuinely Alentejo products, devoting themselves to the production of high quality wines and the creation of native animals in complete harmony. with Nature and a strict protection regime with a protected designation of origin (PDO).
