Vineyard: Grapes from the original vineyards planted by Mr. Barão Bodo von Bruemmer in the fields further down the Casal Santa Maria. Year: The winter was hot and rainy, resulting in a very early sprouting. The vegetative cycle until the close of the bunch was long and quite troubled due to a cold and extremely rainy spring, where powdery mildew was a constant threat. Summer was only felt at the end of August, and the harvest was late. Vinification: The grapes harvested by hand, have undergone a rigorous selection in the vineyard and in the cellar. After a slight smashing and 4h pellicular maceration, a static decantation was followed for 48h. The fermentation took place naturally in used French oak barrels of 225L. Stage in barrel for 15 months with monthly battonage.
